Why We Are Starting an Orphanage and Old Age Home Together
During one of our recent visits, we stayed at a dharamshala for two days. Our intention was simple—to observe, reflect, and understand the needs of the people around us. While we were there, we came across several elderly individuals who had been living in that dharamshala for a long time. Their stories deeply moved us.
We sat down with some of them and asked why they were staying there. One elderly man, with tears in his eyes, told us,
In this universe, many people have nothing—not even the basics needed to survive. It is our responsibility to serve those in need. In every religion, feeding the hungry or giving a blanket or warm clothes to someone during winter is considered a noble and blessed act.
This is not just charity; it is our social responsibility—to provide food, clothing, and dignity to those who are struggling. God has already given us more than enough to live, and it is only right that we share with those who have nothing.
When we help others, we help humanity. Even a small act of kindness can bring a big change in someone’s life. We do our best, within our capacity, to help the needy with pure intentions and open hearts. That is what makes us truly human.
