Why We Focus on Education & Skill Development?
Education and skill development are among the most powerful tools for transforming lives — not just for individuals, but for entire generations. An educated and skilled person holds the ability to uplift themselves, their family, and eventually their community — both financially and emotionally. Such individuals often become role models and changemakers within their generation and beyond.
At Jag Kalyan Sewa Sanstha, we believe that investing in education and skill development is the key to building a strong and progressive society. A nation that nurtures educated and capable citizens is a nation with a bright future. This is why our organization has made it a core mission to focus on these areas.
How Our Journey Began!
Our inspiration came during a vacation trip to a rural area. What we witnessed there changed our perspective completely. We saw how genuinely committed and eager the children in these villages were to learn and grow, often far more dedicated than their urban counterparts. Their hunger for education and vocational training, despite facing severe hardships, was truly eye-opening.
One moment stood out in particular.
In a small market, we met a 14-year-old boy named Praveen, who was selling tea. We asked him gently, “Why aren’t you in school?”
He replied, “If I go to school, then who will feed my family?”
His father had died in an accident, and he was the eldest in the family — living with his mother and two little sisters.
“I want to study,” he said with sincerity in his eyes, “but you tell me, how?”
That question left us speechless. That night, his words echoed in our minds, and we brought this discussion to our board meeting. We asked ourselves: How many children like Praveen exist in our country, forced to give up their dreams because of financial hardships?

That was the moment we decided to act.
Our Mission in Action
We started free Education & Skill Development Centres in rural areas to support children like Praveen — those who dream of a better future but are held back by poverty. We provide free education, vocational training, and skill-based courses. For those who are passionate about learning but face financial barriers, we offer scholarships as well.
But our support doesn’t stop at training. After completing their courses, we help them with job placements or guide them in becoming entrepreneurs — so they can support their families with dignity and contribute to the nation’s progress.
At Jag Kalyan Sewa Sanstha, we believe that by empowering one child, we empower a generation. And every “Praveen” we help today becomes a shining example of hope and change for tomorrow.
